Research: Dutch Graphic Design

A retrospective on Dutch Design and typography from 1923 – Present. Historic graphic design icons Piet Zwart and Paul Schuitema from the 1920s-30s set the design precedent for Dutch design that continues in strength today. Contemporary designers and firms such as Studio Dunbar, who are responsible for the TNT (Dutch Postal Service) rebranding, and Ootje Oxenaar, creator of dutch banknotes are discussed. Also explored is a shift of typographic design in the 1980s and 90s that continues today.
